These barstools are out in the open on our pool deck and my question was "how to avoid them from turning patina grey", this is the answer
I received. Thought to share this since many might have the same question.
Teak wood is naturally resistant to rotting which is why it's used widely on boats and other outdoor applications. It will naturally weather to a silvery grey patina as exposed to the elements outside. It's completely optional but some people choose to apply a teak sealer such as SEMCO Honey Tone Teak Sealer. This helps retain the brown look of the wood and can be re-applied 1 to 2 time per year to your preference.
